Punk Drums:
Fastforward:
Rock
Solid Drum Patterns
with CD
This one is one of the
best.
It has over 90 samples on the CD,each lesson has drums with
guitar, then just guitar. I will post a sample WAV file of
something I've learned from this book. Recommended for those
who have played at least 1-2 months.
WAV SAMPLE - Garage Rock
- Me Playing Drums after 4 months w/Adam O. on Guitar/Vocals.
This is from August 2004 - small part of a 'jam' song we made
up.
Progressive
Rock
Drumming
with CD
This is for those who NEVER played drums
before. Starts very simple, then gets more detailed. This
has better practice lessons that Rock Solid Drum Patterns.
Has LOTS of rudiments to practice and play along with on the
CD. Er.. doesn't really say 'PUNK Drumming', but you can apply
it to any music.
WAV SAMPLE - Punk Drums
- After playing a month or so - go right ahead and LAUGH!!
I have some PUNK DRUM MPG VIDEO FILES
located here:

Okay, they may not be all that punk sounding—you decide!

with CD
Okay, I'll admit - I had this book many
many years ago, before CDs came with the book. Still the only
rhythm guitar book I have. I bet the stuff on the CD is awesome
for playing along with a guitar. Start with this book! This
is what I sound like from using this book:
WAV Sample - me 1988 - Punk
Guitar (drummer: Greg Lambert, FL)
WAV Sample - more Punk
Guitar - 2004, with Jen on drums.
WAV Sample - Me 1989 - Celtic
